Hello! I am Holly, I’ll be posting a series of blog posts about career aspirations, experiences and my work with in the film industry. I am 18 years old and have just started my first year at SAE Institute Oxford, and I’m very excited about the things I can learn here in the next 2 years.

It’s a hard decision knowing what you want to do and where you want to be in life, but when you enjoy something and have passion for it then it becomes clear what life goals you want to set. I have a strong passion for photography which has grown into having a strong interest into the film industry after studying film at A Level. Being outdoors and working with animals has always been a contributor to what I want to do, and growing up in the countryside has made me learn more about what I want to do in the future. From a young age I’ve known I don’t want a normal job stuck in an office at a desk, I want to be doing a physical job or being outdoors! This is why i want to combine the two things I’m passionate about – travelling and cameras!

As I have a huge passion for animals, I’d love to work with them! I am inspired by David Attenborough and his adventures around the world. The footage caught is amazing, I find fascinating seeing footage that the naked eye can not see.

My true career aspirations would be to travel to amazing places to capture footage that has rarely been caught. Being behind the camera and capturing the footage myself is what i truly want to do, but who knows? After studying at SAE for 2 years I may find myself in a different area of the film industry, directing? screen writing?
